This is along the Superior Hiking Trail off of Skyline Parkway west of Spirit Mountain. It isn't a super easy trail, but not a hard trail either, and it affords wonderful views of the St. Lewis River, and the Duluth Superior area. This particular day it was warm, and some of the fall colors were left, though most of the leaves had fallen. This was in a small Creek that ran under the trail, with some leaves that had freshly fallen.

This is another of the set of photos I have been uploading for the last month, this time a lilly.

This is from the same batch of photos that the last one was, this time of 'blue' petunias. I have to thank Aaron Armstrong of DeepWater Music for the loan of his camera, as that is what I used to take this set of photos.

This is one of the few good photos I have taken with a good camera this year, and it happens to be another of Hydrangea flowers, this time without editing, or misting of the flowers.

This is a photo that was a scene that struck me with its color and patterns last fall when I was walking. This was cropped and color graded, with no other editing. I have been taking a little more time recently to edit photos I have taken, so hopefully I will be able to post a few more of them here.

This is my second year of entry in the PSA (Photography Society of America), and more directly PSRI (Photography Society of Rhode Island) sponsored Ocean State International Exhibition of Photography, and thought that this would be a good time to pick up work on the site again.
The following images are all processed to some extent or another, some using high bit depth processing and tone mapping, and others with some manual sharpening.
These last two are minor variations of photos you have seen in my gallery earlier, so I am posting them at the resolution used for the competition.
This is a heavily processed photo done using GIMP. The photo it is based off of is one of my own.
The processing is managed through an 8 layer stack, based off of a partial inverted color process that I developed. It is a difficult process to manage properly, and required a lot of manual mask painting to achieve the balanced colors that are seen in this final version.
This is a project started a few days ago, which is based off of an idea I had while taking the original photograph. The photograph was edited to give a night time appearance and then I drew all the light networks on in Mypaint, with a small amount of further editing in GIMP.
